Reflection Essay

Working with an office suite software bundle is excellent since you get all the best applications in one bundle. These applications include word processors, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, and photo editors. Today I will reflect on this week's assignment using the OfficeSuite Microsoft Office 365 and the bundle applications it provides.

The bundle application in Microsoft office 365  is Word for the wordprocessor, Excel for the spreadsheets, Powerpoint for the presentation, and Access for the database. Most applications have the same basic functionality and icons for formatting text, copying and pasting, and linking data from one application to another.   I recommend the word processor to document the date in one life journal since the table and pie chart can be made in the spreadsheets and easily be pasted and linked to the journal, keeping the data in a spreadsheet format. Word has the advantage of having better-formatted text options for both the screen and printed documents. Also, the word processor has advanced features like formatting and correcting spelling as you type. The disadvantages of Word are that it is not designed for presentation and calculations.

The word processor was one of the first applications developed for the PC and is still the most useful. In a suite like Office 365, the word processor and all its futures are integrated with Exchange's email client. Sending email with formatted text and being able to review it with the spell checker is the other advantage a good word processor can bring. Microsoft Word is also the most know used word processor in the world. "With over 1.2 billion users, Microsoft Word is arguably the most commonly used word processing and editing software throughout the world." (Arya & Azma, 2021) A word processor is a great tool essential to any good office suite.
